Compare Tractorscope

By Tractorscope Team on July 3, 2024

This comparison page explains how Tractorscope differs from other analytics tools on pricing, developer experience, and embedded analytics use cases.

Compare Tractorscope

Why Tractorscope?

Every startup, and especially every SaaS product, needs embedded analytics to display data to customers and for internal use.

Building and embedding analytics from scratch is a massive time sink. Opting for existing tools often means sacrificing your platform’s unique feel and user experience. These traditional alternative solutions are usually expensive, complicated, and require enterprise-level commitments just to get started with ‘Embedded Analytics’.

We believe that the power of data should be accessible to every developer and founder without the usual headaches. We want to empower you to display data quickly. That’s why we’ve built Tractorscope to be the most developer-friendly, cost-effective embedded analytics platform on the market.

Compare Tractorscope

We started working on a fancy matrix comparing Tractorscope with other analytics platforms, but after doing some research it was clear that our feature set is targeted towards builders and not necessarily comparable with other tools who are trying to serve so many audiences. Then discovering the lack of transparency into pricing, the traditional grid/matrix layout you see on so many SaaS sites didn’t make sense. So we built this simple table with some pretty salient points. Hopefully it’s easier to digest than a long list of features.

PlatformPricingNotes
TractorscopeAll features (including embeds, custom themes) for 1 user starting at $9mo. Simple tiered pricing after that.Developer focused. Easy to get started. Designed to empower startups and app developers.
TableauConfusing pricing. There are lots of license options depending on functionality you need. According to Vendr the average annual deal for Tableau is $63,639Not a developer focused solution. Steep learning curve. Large community of users. Probably good if you're an existing Salesforce customer.
SisensePricing not revealed on website. According to Vendr the average annual deal for Sisense is $136,970External sharing and embedding is an add-on. "No surprise" pricing requires sales call.
ModePricing not revealed on website. According to Vendr the average annual deal for Mode is $77,297White-label sharing, external sharing and custom themes are paid add-ons.
Metabase$500mo. in order to have customer facing white-label embeds with no Metabase brandingNo custom themes unless you're on their enterprise plan which starts at $15k annually
GrafanaAll features starting at $299mo. plus usageLive Grafana embedding is limited and requires users to be logged in to Grafana to view the dashboard. Not very practical for app developers.

Maybe at some point we’ll build a real feature based Matrix, but with Tractorscope being so focused on the startup and developer community it doesn’t make sense comparing apples and oranges.

If there’s a feature you want in Tractorscope, please let us know. If it fits within our mission we’ll probably build it, likely quickly too!
