Organize dashboards with folders, drafts, recents, and archives

Tractorscope includes several dashboard views to help teams organize work.

Recents

Recents show dashboards that have been viewed recently. This is the quickest way to return to active work.

Drafts

Drafts are dashboards that are not organized into a folder. Use drafts for new dashboards, experiments, or dashboards that are still being prepared.

Folders

Folders group dashboards by team, customer, workflow, department, product area, or reporting package. A dashboard can be moved into a folder from the dashboard list.

Archives

Archived dashboards are removed from normal dashboard lists without permanently deleting the dashboard. Use archives for old reports, deprecated dashboards, or dashboards that should no longer be used day to day.

Recommendations

  • Use folders for stable dashboards.
  • Use drafts for work in progress.
  • Archive dashboards instead of deleting when the history may matter later.
  • Name folders by audience or workflow rather than by chart type.
