In Tractorscope, dashboards can be shared internally with users and groups, externally through shared views, or inside another product through signed embeds.
Tractorscope dashboards can be shared with internal users, permissioned groups, external viewers through shared dashboard views, or application users through embeds.
Internal sharing
Internal sharing uses Tractorscope accounts, users, groups, and dashboard permissions. This is best for teammates who should log in to Tractorscope.
Shared dashboard views
A shared dashboard view lets you create a dashboard link with a configured set of filters and defaults. Use this when different audiences need different versions of the same dashboard.
Examples:
- A customer-specific dashboard view
- A regional report
- A filtered dashboard for one team
- A view with only selected filters exposed
Embedded dashboards
Embedded dashboards are designed for product integrations and customer-facing analytics. They use signed URLs generated with an API key and can include filter values.
Choosing the right option
Use internal sharing for Tractorscope users, shared dashboard views for link-based access with filter presets, and embeds when analytics should appear inside another product or website.
Sharing use cases
- Customer-facing dashboards
- Operational reporting dashboards
- Executive KPI dashboards
- Embedded analytics for SaaS products
