User roles, groups, and dashboard permissions in Tractorscope

Tractorscope uses users and groups to manage account access.

Users are invited to an account by email. After joining, users can access dashboards and settings based on their permissions.

Admins manage account settings, databases, users, groups, API keys, domains, colors, company profile, and billing-related settings.

Groups organize users and dashboard access. A user can belong to a group, and dashboards can be assigned to groups with permission levels.

Dashboard permissions determine who can view or edit a dashboard. Use edit access carefully because chart SQL, filters, layout, sharing, and embed settings can affect many viewers.

If a user belongs to an account but has no group access, they may see a no-permissions state until an admin adds them to a group.

Deactivate users who should no longer have access. Use groups rather than individual dashboard exceptions whenever possible.
